One
of the largest private, family-owned estates in Chianti. The Castle, home
of the owners, was designed by the famous Italian architect, Coppede,
at the turn of the century in the style of a Medieval castle.
Behind the Castle,
on a rise of land surrounded by woods and olive groves, is the borgo,
now completely reconstructed into 11 large and nicely appointed apartments
designed for holiday rentals.
The owners have
added the most important amenities; a very large pool, a restaurant,
and the availability of products from their farm to be sold to guests.
Bucine is just to the south and west of Montevarchi, between Arezzo
and Siena. The official vineyards of Chianti begin here and extend to
the east, giving visitors ample opportunity to explore the small roads
and hill towns of Tuscany. The town of Bucine is small but complete,
with a Wednesday morning market and an excellent simple restaurant.
Siena and Florence
are 30-45 minutes by car and alternatively, you can take the small roads
to the charming hill towns of Chianti; Castellina, Greve, Panzano, Radda
in Chianti.
This villa rental
is divided into several apartments ..
